21 questions

We film ~18 questions and edit the best into a 60-second Hit. Here’s the complete, unedited Q&A.

Q1

What's your name and what are you known for?

My name is Timothy Armoo. I am known for founding Fanbytes, and now Irrational Media, two media companies.

Q2

What health advice would you give yourself 10 years ago?

It will take longer than you think. When you think you're just going to get results very soon, just take that number and double it and then triple it. That's the time it's going to take.

Q3

What's in your gym bag?

Wired Apple headphones. Because I think that wireless is a scam, and I believe that Apple has brainwashed us. And my comb as well, so I look sexy in the mirror. Nothing else.

Q4

What are you reading at the moment?

A book called The Power of the System, which is about building systems around your life and not depending on determination.

Q5

What's your morning routine?

I wake up and pick up my dummy phone. It doesn't have anything on it apart from Audible and Spotify. That's all I use between 7am and 12. That has been the biggest morning routine hack.

Q6

What's your favourite health brand?

Gymshark. Specifically the polos, because they made my arms look big and my chest look great. But also Kourtney Kardashian's creatine gummies from Lemme. They're really, really good.

Q7

Supplement you can't live without?

Magnesium. I take magnesium before I go to sleep and my sleep has been significantly better than it ever has been. Brand? Just Amazon's choice, some green brand.

Q8

What's the next big thing in health?

Personalised health via AI. You can upload all your stats to Claude and it can create the most insanely personalised reading of what you should be doing. We're just at the beginning and we haven't even seen what's possible.

Q9

What's the worst health advice you've ever followed?

Veganism is a scam. I think people who are vegans and think it's going to make them healthier and live longer, it's weird. If you are watching this, you need to rethink your principles. Vegans get away from us. We don't want you.

Q10

What tech do you use daily?

Claude. I use Claude daily. If you are not using Claude, I think you're not going to make it. It's not even a hot take. It's just true.

Q11

What's your health goal this year?

Get to 94kg. Right now I'm 89kg, lean muscle. If I can pack 5kg on, that'd be great. Just a fun challenge.

Q12

Who should people follow?

Knees Over Toes Guy on Instagram. What he's doing for the world is incredible. So many men after 35, the knees start going, and they just assume that's the way it is. But actually there's a way to fix that. I already do backward treadmill walking.

Q13

Tell me a health trend that is bullshit.

Veganism. I do not understand veganism as a health trend. It does really bad for your body. You don't get the necessary nutrients. Netflix documentaries are vegan propaganda.

Q14

You're in a new city, you want to work out, what do you do?

I go on Claude and look for the highest reviewed gyms. I go to the most expensive gym. When you go to the most expensive gym, you meet people who take their health seriously and who are doing other stuff. It's a health activity and a networking activity. That's a massive cheat code.

Q15

Give me a bold health take.

Fibre is the next wave after creatine. We don't have enough fibre in our diets. The next five to six years will see a bunch of companies show research that fibre helps you live longer and healthier. Same way we saw creatine and protein as a wave.

Q16

Where does all your health money go?

Buying really high-quality meals. One of the gyms near my house is Muscle Works, I buy food there every few days. Also a lot of supplements. I probably spend about £250 a month on supplements.

Q17

What fitness rules do you live by?

Rest-pause. When I work out, I always include a rest-pause. You do reps, pause, do more reps. You only stop when you cannot do three reps. That truly pushes you to failure. I believe that is the best lens to see the world.

Q18

What's the best thing you've done for your health this year?

Buying a silk eye mask, £12.99 from Amazon Choice. It puts me in a really deep sleep. Even when I wake up, I can't see anything, just dark, and it puts me back into deep sleep.

Q19

What's the best place in the world to work out?

The W Hotel in Barcelona, near the beach. When you work out outside there and everyone is working out, there's this feeling of we are all together, better in ourselves physically.

Q20

How do you recover?

Sauna, cold plunge. And being very intentional about rest days. When you're training you feel like you don't need rest days, but that is where your muscle actually grows. Taking rest days seriously has been important.

Q21

What's your dream sauna lineup?

Kanye. Kim K. Different reasons. That's going to be a violent sauna. Mr Beast, I love his chaoticness. And James Grant. That's my ideal sauna lineup.
